welcome

While some companies operate mobile on-site Inspection, Repair and Testing services, The Lifting Company prefers to perform that work in a fully serviced workshop using NATA calibrated equipment and the support of engineering skills and a store of spare parts.

Some companies have qualified staff that inspect their equipment and thus send pallet loads to TLC for repair and re-tagging.

For companies who don’t have that specialist, our Inspector will visit your plant and visually inspect chain slings, round slings, web slings, wire ropes, lever hoists, chain hoists, forklift attachments, spreader beams, height safety equipment, etc.  He will look for wear, stretch, cuts, cracks, grinder nicks, weld spatter, burns, corrosion, etc depending on the item.

As soon as one deficiency is noticed the item will be tagged-out.  All such items are then itemised and brought to the workshop where they can be fully inspected and quotes prepared for their repair or replacement.  No work is done until we report to the client.

Once an item is repaired it can be tested, if needed and a new tag fitted.

Special arrangements can be made for out-of-hours servicing of critical lifting equipment, although we will encourage you to manage-your-risk and have us make a back-up.

We offer a service of creating a Register of all your Lifting, Rigging and Height Safety equipment and maintaining that Register for your record and thus compliance.

Even new chains can be subjected to overload
Hence the need to inspect
